I have worked in the PR and communications industry for over 20 years, working for some of the biggest high-profile brands while at PR agencies across London and Sussex, such as TK Maxx, Homesense, Warburtons, Little Tikes, and Johnson & Johnson. I have also been part of in-house PR teams for some of Britain’s best-loved businesses such as the John Lewis Partnership, Costa Coffee, Nuffield Health, and Premier Foods.
For half of my career, I worked in the charity sector, working at The Prince’s Trust and Teenage Cancer Trust. During my time at Teenage Cancer Trust, I also experienced working with some of the world’s most famous musicians and comedians, thanks to its annual fundraising shows at the Royal Albert Hall.
In 2024 I decided to launch – Purely Public Relations. My passion and mission is to see businesses prosper and grow and I believe every business has a story worth telling. PR is about helping to share that story and create conversations around it, hence our strapline is ‘Storytellers that create conversations’. In addition to being promoters and helping to set you apart from your competitors, PR also protects reputations. We like to call ourselves undercover firefighters, helping to prevent an issue that starts to spark and then becomes an uncontrollable fire or crisis.
